Michel Platin, France's former FIFA secretary of state, and former FIFA Secretary of State, Michel Blatter, were re-opened this month in 2011 over corruption allegations. The two officials, Platini at the time, were secretary general of the European Football Union (UEFA), and Platini is alleged to have received $ 2 million in illegal payments. The lawsuit includes five courts including the European Human Rights Commission, FIFA's ethics committee and FIFA's mediation committee.
